Ahmet Caglar has 43 years of experience in Industry, Automotive and Energy sectors.
His Professional Career started at Koç Holding/Otosan in 1973 and continued at Chrysler, Sabancı Holding,Uzel Holding(President) and Doğan Holding (Industry Group President).
During his career, he has managed several companies and many compherensive projects and gained experience and developed skills in operational and strategic areas of Business such as; Foreign Investments and Business Development, M&A, Joint Venture Projects, Industrial Investments, Electricity Generation and Distribution, Restructuring, Sales, After Sales Services, Export Development, Cost Reduction, Purchasing, ERP Implementations, Product Strategies and New Product Development.
In addition to his work in Turkey,He has also been involved and managed several projects and investments abroad in countries such as Egypt, China, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Italy, Romania.
Ahmet Çağlar graduated from Yıldız Technical University in 1973 with B.S in Mechanical Engineering and holds MBA degree from The University of Texas @ Austin,USA .
Parallel to his professional life, he has served in many professional institutions such as DEIK Egyptian Business Council, Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, Automotive Manufacturers Association Vice Chairman, also contributed to foundation and management of Associations such as Electricity Generation and Sustainable Business Development.
Ahmet Çağlar has also been teaching two courses, New Product Development and Innovation Management for the MBA programs of Bahçeşehir University since 2012 and also serving on the Board of the Graduate School of Business at the same University since 2015. He is a founder member of General Managers (GM) Club Platform and is currently an Advisory Board Member.
