Mehmet Serdar Sarıgül has more than 33 years of experience in FMCG, Food, Personal Care & Hygiene and Pharmaceutical, Self-medication sectors and Industrial Quality Assurance, Packaging and Warehousing Systems.
He is experienced in International Sales and Marketing, Route to Market Operations, Market Clustering and Hub Establishment, Multi-brand Management, New Market Entries, Brand and Company Acquisitions and Mergers, B2B, Private Label, Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Consolidation, Change and Crisis Management.
Sarıgül has worked in Unilever, Bayer, Gillette, Barilla-Filiz Gıda, Evyap Holding and Alpmak as General Manager, CEO and Board Member in Turkey and abroad and have experience in many countries such as Eastern Europe , Middle East, Iran, Russia, Turkic Republics, India and Africa. He also worked as CEO in TEMA Foundation and represented it in EEB, MIO-ECSD and UN Organisations. Sarıgül is one of the Founding Partners and works as Chairman of BT Global Partners.
He has a B.S. in Biological Sciences at Middle East Technical University in 1984 and completed his education on Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations in Richmond College, UK.
Sarıgül also worked in several organisations as Sector Committee President in Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), Board Member in Istanbul Exporters’ Association (IIB), President of Pasta Manufacturers Association of Turkey (TMSD), Board Member in Efficient Consumer Response Association of Turkey (ECR) and Federation of Food & Drink Industries Association, Founding Member of Turkish Food Safety Association (GGD). He also served as Executive Committee Member in Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Turkish-Russian, Kazakh, Ukrainian, Tajik Business Councils and as member of World Turkish Business Council (DTIK) and Istanbul Chamber of Industry Foreign Trade Council. He is a Founding Member of General Managers (GM) Club Platform and currently is an Advisory Board Member. He is also at Advisory Council of Commonland. He is Founding Member and Board Member of MENTORDER and Member of ODTUMD (METU Alumni) and IELDER.
Sarıgül speaks Turkish, English and German.
